90 years ago, Martin Picard founded Picard lederwaren with his two sons in the little city of Obertshausen in Germany, where the headquarters are still set today.
The small workshop has greatly evolved since Edmund Picard would deliver its first models with his bicycle in the next city's factory. In 1935, they are the first company to industrialize leather goods manufacturing, in 1982 they are amongst the first leather goods makers to put their own brand on their bags, and in 2008, they re-settled a share of their production in Germany, to value the quality of the made in Germany.
Nowadays, Picard bags are sold everywhere in the world, and their collection has diversified: They now propose travel bags, backpacks, or briefcases like the Picard Buddy bag, but also a wide array of leather purse and wallet.
Albeit global, the brand has kept what made its success: Its unique know-how in leather goods making that they teach to many youngsters throughout the world, its creativity and its passion, without which Picard wouldn't be what it is today.
The company has also commited to respect the environment and the work condition of their 2000 employees in the world. They set very high quality standards in the treatment of the leather and the making of their bags to offer you the best possible products!
