In 1999, François et Karine Lipovetski, who owned a leather and travel goods store in Paris, started making promotional luggage for Air France. It didn't last very long, but in 2005 they decided to start their own adventure under the Lipault brand, derived from their family name Lipovetski, and lauched a collection of soft-shell suitcases.
The company quickly succeeded into becoming a top luggage brand, thanks to the Plume Lipault spinner. They never stopped innovating and proposing creative products like the foldable Lipault upright suitcase imagined after looking at a cardboard crate in a gardening store, or the Plume Lipault bag, whose opening was inspired by Mary Poppin's bag !
The bright yet elegant colors that define Lipault will allow you to recognize your luggage from afar in the airport whilst making your journey joyful. In order to emphasize on its modern look, Lipault made numerous cross-collaborations with the world famous couturier Jean Paul Gaultier and most recently with the fashion drawer Izak Zenou.
They were so renowned that they were recently purchased by the world's luggage leader Samsonite, which has allowed them to grow significantly in every continent.
